10With the Bombardier Challenger 300, the Canadian aircraft manufacturer has developed a whole new concept for private jets. As a super-midsize business jet it meets the expectations and needs of both business and private travelers.
The development of the Bombardier Challenger 300
The Challenger 300 is based on a study conducted by the aircraft manufacturer Bombardier in 1995, which indicated the lack of a transcontinental aircraft, situated in between Learjet and Challenger 600 concerning size and power.
As early as 1998 Bombardier presented the concept of the “Challenger Continental” – a Super Midsize Jet – at the NBAA (National Business Aircraft Association) trade fair in Las Vegas and already in 2001 the first-ever now Challenger 300 re-named prototype took to the air in the USA.
Two years later, the aircraft received its approval from the Canadian Air Safety Authority. The first deliveries started in 2004 and only four years later the company already recorded more than 230 sales. Today there are around 435 Challenger 300 in operation worldwide.
Fusion of Business & Pleasure
The Challenger 300 was designed with the aim of offering passengers highly comfortable short or medium range flights. For the range the distance between the US East and West Coast at an excellent travel speed was the original benchmark.
The aircraft suits comfortably 8 to 9 passengers, although up to 15 passengers could be accommodated. The cabin offers enough space to hold meetings or to simply relax. The kitchen with the possibility to serve any, even warm catering, a laundry room with a toilet and luggage space, accessible during flight provide additional comfort.

As a Super Midsize Jet, the Bombardier Challenger 300 sets new standards in terms of comfort and technology. With the position between Midsize and Heavy Jet the aircraft closed an important gap in business aviation.
